Kokoro connect is a light novel adaptation, and suffers slightly for this. it's first 5 episodes are excellent, taking us on a surprisingly deep dive into the minds and psyches of our various protagonists, culminating in a tragic finale that will really leave you on the edge of your seat. The characters are interesting and likable (especially best girl, inaba). it does a decent job at balancing drama and humor without overdoing it too much in either direction (until the final arch). music and animation/art are unremarkable, but that they didn't need to be outstanding, and they do their job just fine.
